Whenever I serve my guests food on my Thomson Pottery Bistro White dishes, I always get compliments. It seemed odd at first, the dishes are very basic, a plain white. When I asked what it was they liked about these dishes, they usually tell me it reminds them of an Italian Restaurant.

I really love that these dishes go with everything. They seem to adapt to almost any type of table setting, from slightly elegant, to a casual homemade pizza dinner.

I thought this was a good bargain, too, for $49.99, there are 44 pieces in this set. There are dinner plates, salad plates (which make great luncheon plates), nice round soup bowls (which are also excellent for ice cream), dessert bowls (which are also nice for hot cereal), coffee mugs, a nice large platter, a wonderful deep white serving bowl (which I use for fruit as well), and a set of salt and pepper shakers.

I have had this set for over a year. It has stood up to many dishwasher cycles with no chips, cracks, or breakage.
