How could I not write a review about my beloved MacBook? It did, after all, win me 5 bucks when I used the built-in iSight camera to upload a profile video to this site.

In truth, as a laptop it is not incredibly superb. For that, you definitely need to get a MacBook Pro, which I plan to do for college (Moms: certainly the best thing you could send your child to college with!).Back to the MacBook, I did get it refurbished, which I also recommend. You still get a warranty and support from Apple, and it comes good-as-new, for much cheaper (I'm talkin' hundreds). This one is not even the latest model, so go gaze at the new models on www.apple.com.

The white casing is beautiful, but if you use it as much as I do, it will eventually get some dirty 'stains' where your palms usually rest and on the keys.Of course, this will not be as much of an issue with the new ones. Then, the screen size I purchased is only 13 inches (1280x800 resolution LCD), so its really just ok if your serious about movie-watching and graphic design.Personally, I am, but I still find it hard to complain.

Other than these two things, the laptop is beautiful all-around.That's why I like Macs so much better than PCs, because they look and flow so much nicer, especially their laptops. The Leopard OS is also a great reason; it just makes more sense to the user, and creates an overall much more enjoyable experience.

I had one of these when I worked at my past church. The only thing I did not like was the white casing and keyboard. However, a Mr. Clean sponge works well to clean the keys off. We paid $1100 for a brand new 15" one, so not sure if your refurbished had additional software included, but for the $200 more and 2" more on the screen, I think it was worth it. I do miss it a little, but life goes on. Thanks for the review and hope you can get a MacBook Pro - now a 17" silver would be sweet!
