Whitewater Memorial State Park In Indiana By Georgia Sawhook on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

At Whitewater State Memorial Park, we stayed there only two times over the years. It, too, is located in Eastern Indiana near the Ohio border. The beach is not as nice as Brookville, but the access to deeper water and riding the Sea Doos was the big hit with the family.

The cost is the same as Brookville because it's part of the same park system. So it's $4 to come into the gate which allows you to come and go while there, plus the campsites (electric) are $17 per day from Sunday through Wednesday and $25 from Thursday through Saturday.

The campsites are a little more primitive and didn't seem to have as much grassy areas in the camping selections. The raccoons were running a little more rampant and you could see them in the trees at night staring down at you and trying to get into your food supplies while you slept.

All in all, it was okay------but not as nice quality as the Mounds at Brookville.
