These are 100% safe and easy to use in your home gardens!

Whitney Farms puts out a very good range of fertilizers for the home garden. They are economical and ecologically friendly.

I only use organic products in my garden. After years of studying different fertilizers and their impact on growth and insects, I realized that the high nitrogen feeds create problems I don't need. Because they promote such swift greening, they make plants downright irresistable to insects.

I chose Whitney Farms because they are organic, and cottonseed meal is a proven beneficial feed for gardens. It's practically odorless and very easy to apply.

During the planting season, I simply trowel in some of the meal along with other nutrients, and water in well. Mid season, I hoe a trench alongside my vegetables and lay a thick line of Whitney Farms cottonseed meal, along with some compost, lightly cover it over and wet it thoroughly.

The slow steady release of nutrients, can visibly be seen in the look of my plants, which are green and fruiting heavily. I notice much less insect predation using this product, which essentially feeds the root system, and not cosmetically greens up leaves.

Depending on where you purchase them, a box runs anywhere from $4.95-6.95 a box, which lasts a season easily, depending on yard size.

If you're just beginning to take an interest in more natural fertilizers for your home garden, I heartily recommend Whitney Farms.
