Whoa Cowboy!

This rocking horse is a hand-me-down from my nephew. The fact that it's lasted through two little boys says a lot for its sturdiness!

This horse is made by Chrisha Playful Creations. Its basically a sturdy plush horse mounted to wood rockers. The horse has a saddle and reins to hold on to, but there are also wooden handles that extend out of the horses neck to provide some balance. If you press the ears, the horse whinnies and makes a clippity-cloppity sound, like a horse galloping. The "fur" is pretty soft and is a tan color with white markings (making a palamino horse). The mane and tail are fuzzy, and attached very well.

The horse is about24 inches high, making it just the right height for most toddlers. I don't know what the weight limit is, but it seems strong enough to take at least 35 lbs (my son is about 30lbs and he's fine on it).

My one concern is safety, hence the slightly lower rating. The the rockers have slight lips at each end to prevent tipping over, but when my son really gets going, it does seem like he could flip it over pretty easy. Then again, so far it hasn't happened!

Overall, I'd recommend this rocking horse to anyone with a boy or girl about 1.5-2.5. My son seems to love it...enough to where I'm worried we're going to need a real pony soon!
