The wii is great since it is wireless, and you can have great fun by having the whole family join in on the fun. I like how you are really almost boxing when you are playing the wii sports games, and not just pressing some buttons on a controller.

Also, DDR for wii adds a twist with the MAT and REMOTE and NUNCHUK in the gameplay. Although some hate the remote and nunchuk and may turn it off during game play, I think it is fun to swing for the left and right hand signals sometimes.

Wii sports is also a great game that is included if you are buying the console from a retail store.

The wii is real easy to set up with your TV. Yeah no joke, even my 8 year old brother can do it, and no he isnt a genius.

Also, the wii has many game selections tailored to kids and toddlers therefore the whole family can have fun on this gaming console.

Also, the wii is neccessary if you want to play games with Mario Luigi or Princess Peach in it. So if you are considering the wii, maybe this would help or not.
