Wii Sports Is Fun And A Great Workout! By fnordian on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I waited quite a while before purchasing my Wii - I'm not the kind of person to run right out and spend a ton of money on the latest gaming console, but now I wish I'd bought my Wii sooner! First of all, there are a ton of great games for Wii, and it it backwards compatible with GameCube games. But even the game that came with the Wii, called Wii Sports, was surprisingly fun! You have a choice between a number of sports, including baseball, tennis, boxing, and bowling. All of these games come very close to imitating the kinds of motions you do when actually playing the sport, so you might be surprised by what a good workout you get while playing video games. The first day after playing the baseball game in particular I was incredibly sore! Of course, unlike a traditional workout it's easy to get carried away and actually play longer than you intended. I can't think of a better way to multitask: combining one of my favorite recreations (gaming) with something I hate (exercise)
