This is a concert that John Denver made to help support & celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Wildlife Conservation Society. Those of you that are familiar with John Denver know of his special connection with Nature and its animals. It was not surprising to me at the time that he came out in support of this great organization.

It was not only recorded on cd but of course on video as well. I remember reading just how much it took to produce this and get everyone and every resource they needed to pull this off. It would be hard to verbalize or put in print the effort it took to make this happen.

John surprised many folks listening to this concert as several new songs were introduced during the course of this concert. Hence this performance was one that featured some of these songs live for the first time. Many of the old favorites were also there as well.

I have not listened to this concert in a long time and will be playing it this week for certain. This concert is certainly one of his best and its my hope that some of you out there will get a copy of this and listen to it. Although he is he has been taken from us much too early, the man, the music, the legend live on in all the wonderful works of music John produced over his lifetime.
