Wildlife Friendly Plants By karlawmcdonald on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
This is a wonderful, must have book for nature lovers. It will help you to chose the right plants to make your garden a haven for beneficial insects, amphibians and birds.
I have a huge flower bed by the road that will attract and feed birds and butterflies, it is one of my favorite things to do is watching them fluttering about my flower beds.
It will take you beyond the obvious such as sunflowers, blackberry bushes, butterfly bushes and honeysuckles. This book has taught me what to buy to plant for their benefit and mine. Sweet Wiliam, Purple Cone Flower, Daisey, Goats Beard, Snapdragons and more are now what I use now. What you might not find in stock can be requested at most places, especially a locally owned nursery instead of Home Depot, Lowes and such. A lot of these will even come back each year, some the seeds can be saved for next year that are not bulbs.
This is an excellent book that I have enjoyed.

I'm o.k. with the wildlife as long as the wildlife stays in the wildlife
