I have recently become estranged from my mother, and it has been a very painful, hurtful situation. This book has helped me learn more about narcissism, so that I can make sense of my childhood, and adult relationship with her. The full title of this book is: Will I Ever Be Good Enough? Healing The Daughters Of Narcissistic Mothers. I found myself on every page, and have started to understand the dynamics of our family.

This book talks about setting boundaries, setting limits on emotional abuse, and ways to recover from the psychological damage. So little has been written about the narcissist mother, so this book is exceptional in learning to identify this personality disorder.

There is such a feeling of relief in knowing that you are not alone, and understanding that nothing was really wrong with you, and it wasn't your fault. In this book, I learned how to reclaim my life, and no longer feel like a victim.

Dr. McBride is also a recovering daughter of a narcissistic mother, so this lends a lot of credibility to her analysis. This has been the most painful situation in my life, but I knew that if I didn't make some changes, I was going to die. I was suffering emotionally and physically from stress beyond belief, and I couldn't continue as things were.
