Willow Tree Figurines By Tina Lehman By Tina Lehman on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I have to start by saying that I absolutely hate knick-knacks. I have a few tschochkes here and there, but all in all my decor is fairly simple.
When my son was born, by grandmother bought me a figurine made by Willow Tree. It was a mother holding her son, and it looked just like me and my son. I fell in love with it! I have since gotten one for my husband that looks like him and my son, and my mother got a plaque with a family of four on it.
They look like they're made of wood, and have marks in them that make them look rustic, like they were carved. They do not have many details painted on them, so they are simple (which is probably why I like them so much). They are not large (the woman and baby are probably 8 inches tall), but not too small.
I love the simple way they look, and what their sentiment represents. If you are looking to get a nice gift for someone, these figurines from Willow Tree are a good bet- even if he or she doesn't like knick-knacks.

My mil got me the pregnant mother one when I was pregnant with my 2.5 yr old. :D
I hate knick-knacks as well! But these have always caught my attention in the store. In fact I bought my mother-in-law one a few mother's days ago and she loved it. They make nice gifts. The family ones are precious.
The Willow Tree Figurines in your pictures are very beautiful. While they do not have many details painted on them, to me they are full of emotion... just their poses alone tell a story. I can definitely see why you are drawn to them.
My daugther-in-law has some of these, they have individual meanings for that special friend.
