Wilson Match 2000 Badminton Racket
By tbk06 onOk, this pretty much sucks as a badminton racket. Its shaft is made of high tempered steel, if you know anything about badminton, that's like making it out of a ton of bricks. I mean, it's reasonable as a beginner racket where it will feel lighter than other types of raquets such as for tennis or raquet ball but it's still pretty heavy. I sometimes used it for training so that when I used a better raquet it would feel way way lighter and it would increase my power. That's pretty much the only reason I would recommend this raquet, either as a training raquet so you'll be better when you use your main raquet or as a beginner raquet for someone who wants to experience the playful backyard badminton without overpaying for something like an armortech or musclepower raquet.

I am guessing that 10.00 would be a get what you pay for deal.
Thanks for the warning. I love to play this game, but haven't since I was a kid. Maybe I need to get a new set and start playing...summer time is here!
I love badminton! I agree, a heavy racket is no good. My favorite one that I no longer have was made of wood, it was very light and comfortable.
And here I thought the lighter the racquet the better!!! That surprises me about Wilson products!
Good information to know. I haven't played in years and probably couldn't tell the difference between rackets. At least it's a good training racket for you :0)
These racquets are only good for beginners .
