Wilton 6in. round cake pan
By houdini16409 onI found a magazine a couple of months ago that showed how to decorate cupcakes like puppies and I tried it and it actually worked out. I don't have any talent so I was quite impressed. It kind of got me hooked on cake decorating so I went to my local craft store to see what I could find. I started to shop the sales and get some round cake pans to give it a whirl.
I was really impressed with this 6 in. round cake pan. My cakes turn out perfectly shaped when I use the Wilton cake pans. It is not lopsided. I was so impressed with this pan now I am collecting all different shapes and sizes.
I do have to admit they are kind of expensive. You really have to watch the sales at the craft shows, and you can also find a few sizes of the round pans at Walmart. A great thing about these cake pans is that they clean up nicely, and dishes are another thing I hate to do.
I highly recommend that if you do a lot of baking that you give the Wilton cake pans a try. While they are a little more than traditional pans, they are well worth the extra money.

I think I read the same article, in a doctor's waiting room so I didn't feel I could rip it out! They were darn cute. I love to bake, and usually buy Baker's Secret pans, but haven't found a 6" in that line. I'll have to look into Wilton; I know their pans are good. I'm already "collecting" NordicWare bundt pans in different shapes, so I don't know how it'll fit in my budget, but who knows? I think I may take a cake-decorating class one of these days; it's something I've always wanted to learn, and now that I'm getting older, well, I might as well!
Wilton makes some really nice cake products like this pan, but you are right, they are expensive. I took the cake decorator's class 10 years ago, so I have a lot of their items (I still have the 20 pounds I gained with that class also, lol).
I love Wilton products. Use to buy all their cake decorating pans. It is worth the extra money. Thanks
This is a great brand of bakeware-I have these as well!! Happy baking to you!
Michael's has a lot of great things and this sounds like a great pan.
I love to bake too when I find the time. I'm going to have to check this brand of cake pans out. I agree that the quality of the pans is almost as important as the ingredients.
I really like the Wilton pans as well, they're very high quality.
I've always been impressed with Wilton. I especially love their line of cartoon pans.
Sometimes you can find em, on eBay for less. I have a friend that taught herself, using Wilton pans, how to create the most gorgeous wedding cakes, which she turned into a full time business. How neat is that?
This sounds like a very nice cake pan. Thanks for sharing.
