I personally use Winamp as my primary media player on my computer. I have tried the top competitors to Winamp, they were iTunes, Windows Media Player, and Realplayer. The main reason I like Winamp more than the others is the small impact it has on a system. Winamp uses much less RAM and runs much smooter on low end systems like mine. I also like Winamp because it is by far the easiest media player to customize through plugins, and themes. Recent updates have also added more compatibility with portable MP3 players to Winamp, making it even more useful to me. I also like Winamp because of the ease of use, and the built in Shoutcast feature. It is very easy for me to find online radio and TV through the Winamp browser, and I dont think i could go back to any other media player.
