Windows Vista Compatibility Is An Issue By Zef88 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I bought Windows Vista expecting an upgrade to my Windows Xp experience. The positive is that the graphical interface is much improved and I find it easier to access programs where I would have trouble finding on Windows XP. My main gripe is about the compatibility that Windows Vista currently offers. Many programs that I have attempted to run on Vista simply fail to work. Now, this primarily has to do with games and software of the same genre, but I am an avid gamer and I just get angry when a game I buy isn't windows vista compatible. All of the necessary programs work, of course, but the expanded array of software available is largely incompatible. I would think twice before switching to Vista, and I would recommend any consumer to wait at least 6 months before purchasing this product.

My wife just got a Gateway that was supposed to have a free Windows 7 upgrade. However, she bought it just after the deal expired so we're stuck with Vista on that netbook and it is just slow and drags on the entire system performance speed. *sigh*
