I first bought some of these Endurance Stainless Steel Wine Glasses for a friend with a hot tub who was rightfully concerned about the danger of broken glass around inebriated people in the dark. After I had the opportunity to use them, I decided to get some for use at home.
These 'glasses' are great for serving red, white, or blush wines. They keep chilled wine cold longer than glass or crystal (and they can be chilled in the freezer if desired). They are lightweight but sturdy.
The best thing about these glasses are that, you don't need to worry about breaking them. I am fairly superstitious (it is an Asian thing). It is very bad luck to break a glass during the first two weeks of Chinese New Year. So if wine is being consumed in my house, I force people to use these unbreakable glasses. You might be giving up a bit of the wine drinking sensation by not being able to see it in the glass but I think that is a small price to pay.
These glasses are good for picnics, camping, road trips, and tailgate parties.
They are made of 18/10 stainless steel and have a brushed exterior finish and polished interiors. They are seven inches tall. The mouths are 2 3/4 inches in diameter, and the base is 3 inches. They have an 8 ounce capacity, but you won't want to fill them that full.
They are sold in sets of 2, and are dishwasher safe.
