Wipe Warmer By tsmommy06 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
When I first heard about wipe warmers I thought they were completely useless and I didn't see the point of them. I did receive one as a gift at my baby shower and never returned it. I almost forgot about it until the baby arrived. My son hated cold or room temperature wipes and would cry at every diaper change. My husband remembered the wipe warmer and suggested we give it a try. To my surprise it worked. My son no longer cried at diaper changes and he really seemed to appreciate the warm wipes.
The warmer was easy to set up. To set it up you simply put in the moisture pad, put a small amount of water in it (about 1/2 cup), add diaper wipes and plug it in. You do have to add water about once a week. If you forget to add the water, you'll be sorry because the wipes will dry out. It is also recommended that you change the moisture pad every 3 weeks. At $8.00 per pad though, it can get expensive. I didn't replace the pad every 3 weeks though and had no problems. Another plus to the product is that it accepts any brand of diaper wipes. I appreciated not having to buy a specific brand of wipes.
Overall, I'm not completely sold on the wipe warmer and don't know that I would have used it had I not received it as a gift. I was impressed that it stopped my son from crying during diaper changes. I'm not sure that I will set it up for baby number two unless he/she also puts up a big protest to cold wipes.
Prince Lionheart Wipe Warmer Purchased at: Babies R Us Price: Gift ($25.00)

oh really? that's nice? but i think what we need in our country is a wipe cooler. lol
I thought the same thing about wipe warmers when I first saw them, but after I had my first child I changed my mind.
I got one of these as a present a few weeks ago. It's still in the box. I should try it, but will probably wait until winter, when warm wipes would be nice!
Never used one for my son, thought about it but decided it probably was a waste of money. Luckily my son never protested cold wipes! LOL
When my daughter was an infant, this would have been a great thing to have!
I've never heard of this but it sounds like a really good product!
I never used wipe warmers when my kids were babies and I never noticed that they cared either. But I did live in Texas and it never got very cold either. I still think somebody is getting rich and it's not the people buying the wipe warmers!
Though my sons never hyperreacted to cool diaper wipes all the time, they did fuss if running a fever or were feeling chilled. So, a diaper warmer would be handy for situations like this. Would I go buy one? No, but if given as a gift it would be used.
