This microsoft wireless mouse is like any other mouse, only wireless. Which if you go wireless on your notebook this mouse makes for a nifty tool (totally wireless). I enjoy how quick it was to get started. I just pop the batteries in, plug in the usb port thing and the mouse is ready to work. It is optical which means no ball to worry about getting dirty and the mouse can roll over almost anything (no need for a mouse pad). I like the fact that it is portable no wires to worry about. I can move from one notebook to another with out having to install anything. It is practically light as a feather. Price was not worth it, I mean for a few more bucks I could have gotten a keyboard/mouse set . Would I recommend this particular mouse? Not sure. I would more or less just give my opinion and let you make up your own mind.
