Wireless Sixaxis Controller
By Lindy Smith onAs a longtime Playstation fan, I'm very familiar with the controllers that have come with each system. The Sixaxis controller by Sony is an improvement on an already solid game controller. It looks almost the same as the PS2 controller with four trigger buttons, a directional pad, four action buttons, select and start buttons, and two analog joysticks. The similarities end there and the distinction of the PS3 controller begins. First of all, the wire is gone and the new controller uses bluetooth technology to sync up with your PS3. In the spot where the wire was is a USB for connecting the controller to your PS3 for charging purposes. In the center of the Sixaxis is the Playstation button which is used to quit games/movie playback, place the system in/out of standby mode, or turn the controller on/off. Another cool feature of the Sixaxis is that it has tilt sensors in it. If you have a racing game, for instance, you can use your controller as a steering wheel and your car on screen will react to the motions of the controller itself. The Sixaxis is very light and very familiar to experienced gamer. I'd highly recommend this controller for all your gaming needs.

It sounds like they managed to successfully build on an already good controller. Eliminating the wires is a big big plus. Not having to navigate over them when the boys are playing, eliminates a big problem in our home.
Seems like a great wireless game controller. Some of them don't always seem to get their signals to the game box, so I'm glad to hear this one works well.
I'm not a gamer, but I am amazed by the technology - I never would have ever thought Bluetooth would be used for video gaming!
This really does seem like a very nice controller!
Hey! A controller for those of us that always tried to put some "english" on the buttons. No wire sounds great too.
Really nice to have those wires gone and replaced by bluetooth technology to sync up with the PS3. it is indeed very convenient when playing with PS3.
