Wolfgang Puck, Stick To Cooking By sevp on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Wolfgang Puck, just cut and cook, man. Please don't endorse another knife.

We bought the Wolfgang Puck kitchen knife set because this guy looks like a good cook and why would he endorse cheap knives? I have no idea why, but he did.

These knives barely had water on them and they rusted real quick. We didn't even put them in the dishwasher because it says not to, yet they rusted just after a few drops settled on them.

They also are an average cutting tool. The blades seem too thin and get dull very easily. We bought a different set of knives out of a store called Stupid Prices and they are in way better shape than the Wolfgang Puck knives.

Please, do yourself a favor and don't buy these knives. It is like trying to cut through his accent. Unless you like rust in your food and want a physical challenge of taking 5 seconds to slice through a bell pepper, avoid these!

Seriously? Why would he endorse this product...it will only make people trust him less when he recommends something next time. I saw these at the kitchen store this past weekend. I am always looking for good knives since we own a restaurant. It doesn't pay to buy cheap ones. We use our knives too much to replace them often.

Good to know they suck so much! I am in need of new knives, and would have thought a great chef would endorsed a great knife. Thanks for sharing your experience with this so honestly!

Interesting. The fact that they rust means that they are plain steel, which actually can be honed to have a much better edge than stainless steel. But you have to know how to sharpen them, and you need to dry them when you wash them- and no dishwasher. All my knives are steel. Specially selected for me by my dad!

Oh you can just tell if he slaps his name on, people will follow based on that name recognition.

Thanks for the warning - the Wolfgang Puck name would have led me to believe that the knives were worthwhile - - guess they're not!

Wow thats a shame but a good warning to people shopping for knives. Stay away from these.
