World War Z By Jon Scott By Jon Scott on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

World War Z is an excellent fiction novel set in the near future. In it, humanity is faced with a zombie uprising, brilliantly told through short tales from fictional individuals as an oral history. More than just a horror book, the author Max Brooks writes from a philosophical viewpoint as well: how can one face an enemy without fear? His tales are brilliantly told, and his language is superb. The tales told in the book make the story come to life as the whole picture unfolds. I personally could not put the book down, and read it in a six hour sit-down. The action in the story keeps the reader engaged, and the graphic descriptions create a realism unparalleled. Max Brook's book, World War Z is a worthy purchase for any horror fiction fan, or for anyone who enjoys a good philosophical postulation.
