Worst All In One Printer By luvettes91 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My father bought this all-in-one printer because he was tired of the printer, scanner, and fax taking up so much space up on our computer desk. He bought this Brother all in one printer and quickly installed the software and connected it to the ethernet and it was ready to go. The printer itself prints at an ok quality, the scanner is good, the copier a little slow, and the fax works. So you're wondering why I gave it such a low score right? Well if you dont mind running out for ink cartridges every week or so I suggest not buying this product. We barely print anything and every time we needed to at least one of the ink cartridges was low on ink even though it was clearly half full. And if the printer declared even one low on ink you could not use any of the other functions until we replaced the ink. It got to be really annoying and time consuming trying to keep up with the printer. Another thing is that this machine has an unusual need to clean itself every day maybe even more than once day on some occasions. It will start up on its own and for about 5 minutes you listen to the little gears inside spinning and stopping and so on. At first we didn't know what that was and it started up one day and it really scared me because it was off at the time. For the price its an ok value but with all the ink you're going to need to buy it isn't worth it.
