Worx Gt Makes Weed Wacking Easy By Debbie831 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I am not a fan of yard work but I know that it has to get done. I bought my riding (bug) lawnmower which makes it a lot more fun to mow but now I needed something to get rid of the weeds by my garden and around my trees. I happen to be watching TV and yes I did it again I put on the paid programming channel.
Thats were I found this Worx-GT. I have a weed wacker but it is electric and I will admit I didn't use it very often because it was such a hassle getting a long enough cord to do around the house. After watching this ad for about 5 minutes I fell in love with this.
The first thing I fell in love with was it is battery operated. No more cords! Then the weight 7lbs which makes it easy for me to use and the ease of switching it to an edger. I decided this was something I needed to try.
It just came in the other day and I put it together. It took about 2 minutes, charged the battery and off I went! It is everything they claim on TV - yes I know shocker, but it really it a great little tool. It wacked down all my weeds and did a really great job on the edging. It is adjustable so I can get under my trees and it has a guard which is great for around the flowerbed, especially for me as I have been known to wack off my flowers!
Only downside to this is the battery charges in an hour but only lasts about 40 minutes. For me that is plenty I don't have a big yard but if you have a lot of edging to do this could be a problem. They do sell an extra battery and I think the price was like $69! Almost as much as the Worx itself, but might be worth it, this is a great little tool that gets it done.
WORX -GT Purchased at: Paid Programming Price: $99.00

I have not seen this brand before-it does look like it would make weed wacking easy!
Finally-something that works like it's supposed to, and battery operated is a good feature also!
Consider the all caps in the title, sounds like it makes weed wacking destructively fun, too.
I had a battery powered weed whacker a long time ago when the rechargeable battery thing was new. I loved how it worked and the light weight, but all too soon got to where it wouldn't hold a charge. I bet they've got that fixed now, and that this is really good.
Seems like a good tool that gets the job done.
nice..it makes the weeding enjoyable
Not bad, the free spools for life this is a nice bonus but you probably have to pay shipping for them right? We have a cheaper one from home depot that works pretty well and was significantly cheaper.
Nice ill give it a try.
