Wow! It Talks! By godfrey884 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I haven't used a corded phone in many many years, I had bought a Panasonic cordless phone back in the early 90's and finally last year in just wouldn't keep the charge, and it was only a 900 MHz. And I knew that the newer phones were much better, So instead of buying a battery for my phone of 14 years old, we just bought a new cordless phone.

We bought another Panasonic as the last one lasted for so many years, This phone is so nice, it is 5.8 GHz, internal antena, it has 3 handsets, only one of them has to be plugged into the phone jack the other 2 only need a power outlet, so this make putting a phone in any room possible as long as you have a power outlet, it has a digital answering machine that can hold about 64 messages and about 15 minutes each, call waiting, caller ID, Call waiting caller ID, Speaker phone, 50 phone number phone book, Phone book sharing, so once you add a number to your phone book you just press a button and it will transfer the the number to all the other handset( I thought that was cool), intercom so you can talk to the other handset located in different part of your house, it can be mounted on the wall.

And now for the best features of all, it talks, it will tell you who is calling, Example I have my husbands cell # programed, list name, Daddy, when our phone rings it says " Call from Daddy" it will repeat this till you either answer or you machine picks up. It will say the name that would normally appaer on your call display unless you list it differently, like for my husband had I not list Daddy it would just say Cellular Call, and if not name is availible it will say the phone #. This is so nice, Now when I'm feeding my son, or busy, I don't have to run to see who is calling, If it's someone you don't want to talk, you don't have to get up or stop what your doing.

The next best feature you have your choice of rings for what ever #'s you want, you can say set family member to one ring tone, friends to another, unknown to another.

I have never had a problem with static or interupted calls with this phone, and the range for this phone is very very good.

What a great feature of this phone! I would love to have my phone tell me who was calling so I didn't have to rush to check the caller ID. I will be checking this out soon.

I have one similar to this, and the talking aspect takes a bit to get used to, but I really like knowing who's callong without running to the phone!

Great phone. I like the announcement feature. Instead of running to the phone to check the caller id, I could just listen for who is calling!
