Writing With Grace A Waste Of Money By Alicia Bodine on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Writing with Grace is the book I was given to teach my daughter handwriting. I, however, think it stinks royaly. Third grade is the grade children are to begin to learn how to write in cursive. This book almost assumes they already know how and offers very little practice.

I might not be a genius, but a child should start out with little a's and big a's before they are forced to write the word apple 10 times. The book immediately starts out expecting my daughter to be able to write whole words in cursive.

There are also pages that interrupt the flow of what you are doing and they are not even written in cursive which is what they whole book is about. The book is also only 60 pages which means that if your child did one page per day they would be done the book in 2 months. What will you do the rest of the year.

Honestly I give this book an F!
