X-Men Legends is a video game for the Playstation 2 console. This game gives you a chance to play your favorite mutants, with a large pool of Xavier's students at your disposal. The game is a simple premise, fighting the enemies like rogue mutants, sentinels and the like to advance on. Each level you can bring new mutants into the fold as well. The game camera angle is from an overhead view, which at times can get a little frustrating to play. The experience points your player gains will let them level up their abilities and customize the specific characters strengths and power. This customize aspect, similar to RPG, lets you really get into some extra fun detail in game play. Some characters seem like copies of other major characters, however there is definitely enough variety to fill most fanboy's fantasies of controlling his own mutant team. I personally love this game, although I find the load time to be slow and the action on the screen gets a little much and slows the frame rate at times. My experience with game play is amateur, and this provided enough of a challenge without getting frustrating and was not too easy. Personally I found the game to be rewarding and enjoyable to play in my free time!
