And in Microsoft's corner... the Xbox 360! This is the contender I am rooting for. I purchased an Xbox 360 as soon as I possibly could. I purchased the premium package (the one with the hard drive). I feel that this is the only way to go. The Xbox 360 has dominant game selection over the PlayStation 3 (complete lack of selection) and the Nintendo Wii (Tons of games... if you like Mario in everything that you play). Xbox Live is unrivaled in its category and plays a huge part in the Xbox 360's success. Another huge reason for buying the Xbox 360 is Halo. It is the single most anticipated game of the year. There are some complaints to be had about the new Xbox though. The biggest concern is the malfunction of a high number of Xbox 360's at launch (Microsoft has since fixed this issue, even extending warranties). It also would have been nice if the wireless controllers had a rechargeable battery built in, like with the PS3 controllers. I believe the clear winner in the console battle is Microsoft's Xbox 360.
