Xbox 360 HD-DVD Add-on

The Microsoft Xbox 360 HD-DVD is a HD-DVD drive that is hooked up via USB to your Xbox 360, allowing you to watch High Definition content through it. It retails for around $189.99 and includes a Universal Remote and a copy of the movie "King Kong."

First I'm going to talk about the actualy HD-DVD drive. It looks simliar to the 360, plugs into the 360 via USB, and has a USB port on the back. The only button it has is an eject button, which pops open the tray.

It comes with a universal remote, which is really great. The layout of the buttons is very good and it seems to be very high quality. You can program it to work your TV. It includes full design to control the 360, including a Home button, Y, X, A, and B buttons, and a direction pad.

The video quality of the HD-DVD drive is very nice, it matches all of the other standalone players and displays up to 1080p. It has very fast load and play times, even faster then the standalone players.

Overall I highly recommend the HD-DVD drive for someone who has a 360 and a HDTV.
