Xopenex Hfa By fishburn on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Xenopex HFA was perscribed to me as an alternate to albuterol. I was perscribed this because when I took albuterol, it gave me severe jitters. My pulmonologist said that it would have all of the effects of albuterol, without any of the side effects. I thought this medicine would be amazing, because it worked like albuterol, without all of the jitters, but when I needed the fast action relief that normally came from albuterol, xopenex came nowhere near the effectiveness. Albuterol would normally relax my chest, and allow me to breath within seconds, but when I used xopenex nothing happend. I could taste the medicine in my mouth but none of the effects were taking place. Sure it didn't have side-effects, but that's because it didn't work. I give this medicine five thumbs down.
