Xyron 900 sticker maker / laminator

The Xyron 900 is an handy item designed originally for people who scrapbook but can be used for many projects. This handy little machine makes stickers out of anything. You can take any picture or paper and make a sticker out of it. This machine can double side laminate papers. I see one company is now making cartridges for it that laminates one side and puts adhesive on the other side. I guess for heavy duty shiny stickers. They also are selling a new cartridge that puts a manetic backing on papers. I have not tried the two newest cartridges.

Whats great about it is it is handy for not only scrapbooking fans but it also is handy for anyone who needs to save papers by laminating them. I have save countless old obituaries, old newspaper articles, recipes and I even made bookmarks with it. No heat is needed. You simply slide the top edge of the paper in and turn the handle and that brings it through laminating the item or making a sticker out of it (no electricity or batteries areneeded). Once it is through the machine there is a handy little cutting blade that you slide across cutting off the laminated item or sticker and youre ready to do your next item. You have to use different cartridges for sticker making or laminating. I think anyone will find this handy. It has really helped me in the classroom. This has unlimited uses.

Now for the bad:

It is only about 8 inches wide so that limits it a little.

The sticker making cartridges have stopped working a couple of times. Not a real big problem for me because I found a use for the rest of the sticky paper.

The cartridges are a little pricey but look around for lower prices.
