Yak Trax Pro Traction Device By cafn8me on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Working outside during our cold New England winters is bad enough, but after my husband fell on a patch of ice early this winter, I decided to buy him Yak Trax Pro's to help prevent the possibility of future tumbles. These rubber and steel contraptions stretch right over any pair of shoes or boots, and conform to the shape of the footwear they're paired with. The steel coils provide traction and stability on snow or even ice, without adding heaviness or bulk. Since they are easily removed without having to remove one's shoes, my husband can slide them off quickly and conveniently if he's going to be indoors for a bit.
I was a bit worried about the sizing, since my husband wears a size 13 and his winter boots are huge and bulky, but the XL fits great. These are a definite must-have for anyone who spends lots of time outside during the winter months.

I've never heard of this...great idea. :-)
This sounds like something we can use for our slippery days! Thanks!
These sound like the best thing! I would imagine they are very handy for people in icy environments, glad they work well for you.
I know somebody who bought these for her her elderly parents. They were a really useful gift. Thanks
Sounds great for our Michigan winters too!
I have a pair similar to these and they're awesome for walking the dog.
These sound really helpful. I have fallen really bad at times on ice patches. I have to look into this.
