Yamaha Peter Sullivan Replica Series Mouthpiece By FakedSympathy on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

A mouthpiece is something that is difficult to rate, because it is really something that is specific to the individual player. However, if you're looking to find the right one for you, I might be able to help. The Peter Sullvian Replica Series trombone mouthpiece is a fairly narrow rimmed mouthpiece, and also is fairly deep. It is a good mouthpiece for producing that symphonic sound that trombone players strive for. It is not a mouthpiece that I'd reccommend for jazz playing or for marching, but for an orchestral setting or a wind ensemble, it is definitely one to consider. The mouthpiece itsself is a large shank piece and it is very sturdy. The shank is surprisingly thick, so it can endure such misfortunes as being dropped or mishandled. Overall, my experience playing with this mouthpiece was good, however, it is not for every player or every setting.
