Ok if you read my review on the lawnmower that my mom & dad bought me you realized I wasn't very happy with it. As much as it was supposed to be self propelled you couldn't tell by me. So I have been on the search for sometime for a new one! Of course being the Lady that I am and not much into mowing I was looking for a riding lawnmower, even though I know my lawn didn't require it!
I happen to be on craigs list and found the lawnmower of my dreams. If you also read my review on the Beetle Bug convertible you also know that I have wanted a Love Bug forever! Well I finally got one, kind of.
This riding lawnmower if perfect, it looks almost like a bug and is a small enough riding lawmower that it is pefect for my size lawn.
It has an 8.5hp motor (I guess thats good!), 28" cut blade and it really fun to drive. The seat is very comfortable and it is very easy to drive. I was a little concerned about a riding mower because my backyard is on a slant and ends at the lake! So I wasn't sure if I could even use a riding lawnmower but this is great. I can get close to the water and not feel like it is going to tip over.
It can mulch or bag and the bag is underneath the seat. There is a little window I can look down into to see if the bag is getting too full and needs to be emptied. It cuts the grass great and I love that I have 5 levels for cutting, so as summer comes along I can cut my grass higher so it doesn't burn just by moving the lever.
The best part is, now no one will have to listen to me complain about cutting my lawn. Just give me my ipod and my bug and off I go. I can't believe that I would ever say I love cutting my grass!!

as another owner of the yard bug i can say this from a mechanics prespective it is a well built rider does everything you ask of it turns on a dime and gives you 9 cents change only issues were user error ive owned it for 8 years and am now putting it out to pasture after purchasing an ariens mower with a little more horsepower funny thing is ive not even had to replace one single part in 8 years battery belts blades are all original only differences is mine is a 9hp model other than that i have only one issue with it and thats the factory holes on the mowing deck those four holes allow alot of grass to build-up on the deck and makes cleaning a bit more time consuming but thats not too major of an issue and after all this its going to get put on craigslist to sell since i dont have room to keep it and the ariens the best part about these mowers is peace of mind in knowing if you need parts mtd is local in ohio and keeps good records of what they build
