You Can Write Greeting Cards By Janna on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I love to write and am told by many people (mostly my mother) that I am very witty. So I thought what better way than to put those two things together than by writing greeting cards. The difficult thing about breaking into the greeting card market is that there is not a lot of information that is readily available on the subject. You can imagine my joy when I came across You Can Write Greeting Cards written by professional greeting card writer Karen Ann Moore.

This book, although short (121 pages to be exact) is almost a bible of how to break into the greeting card market. Moore explains in detail what publishers are looking for. She taught me how to find inspiration in everyday things and that you can make almost anything into a humorous tag line! Moore explains the different type of cards that sell and the various trends in the marketplace.

What I enjoyed the most out of this book is that sevearl workshops and writing "exercises" are suggested to help bring about new ideas.

The only drawback that I could find with this book it that there is no listing of greeting card companies and their address. Other than that this is a must buy book for anyone who wants to break into the greeting card market.
