We bought this system strictly by price alone, it was in a midway display with a special price of one hundred and ninety-nine dollars. It has 4 satellite speakers and one center speaker and a sub woofer, all of which I was very satisfied. I had never had that "Sub Woofer Experience" before, got to admit I like it... alot! I was very happy with the Koss Digital Home Theater System. I would recommend this unit to anyone searching for such a unit. I f I have any disappointment with it at all it is that I have noticed that your discs must be In premium condition or the player has to read them for a long time before it plays, so careless disc handlers may want to be cautious with this one. Over all it is a wonderful "Home Theater System" we have really enjoyed it. I really don't know alot about it's durability because I really have not had the chance to abuse it the way I do most products I buy, yet.
One other thing I found to be surprisingly refreshing is that the system came with enough wire to really set it up, I expected to only receive a bare minimum of what I needed but it was really nice surprise to find enough to really run the distances required.

It's gring with a great when something with a great price works for you. With kids though most of my discs are not in the best condition so I'm not sure this would be a good choice for us.
Star Wars in surround sound is the BEST way to watch them!!!! LOL
This sounds like a pretty nice system, especially for the price. I would love to get one of these later on. Thanks for the warning about CDs though. Our DVD player is like that and it can be a pain. Its good that this comes with enough wire. I have heard about that being a problem with a lot of other systems. Sounds like you found a pretty good deal. Great information.
Hi King- Seems like this is a system that gave you a decent return on a reasonable investment with the possible exception of its dislike for scratchy CDs. Once in a while those impulse buys turn out to be ok, don't they!?

Sounded like a great system until I read that part about careless disk users! Our DVD's are definately NOT in great condition:0) But then little greasy fingers and leaving the DVDs laying around tends to lead to scratches and smudges doesn't it? Oh, well.
Sounds like a good system at a good value! Thanks for the warning about the dvds. With kids, ours are never in tip top condition!
It's Koss so what else do tyou expect but overall excellence! I'm buying one of these to replace the much too big system my husband had. The bass and sound are too big for where I'm living. Picture literally things falling off walls:)
