You Suck A Love Story by Christopher Moore
By moonbeam973 onI was reading the entertainment section of a newpaper a while back, and I read a review for this novel. I guess I was intrigued by the title and the photo of the cover of the book. I had never heard of Christopher Moore but, after reading the review, I decided the book sounded entertaining, so I looked for it on the internet. Amazon.com offered good prices on used copies, so I purchased a copy of the novel there. Anyway, this was a very entertaining read. From the beginning, the story just pulled me right in, and I could not stop laughing. The characters (including the awkward vampires) are not just two dimensional; they are appealing and genuine. The main characters are extemely likeable (and extremely goofy). It's a fun read; the story never gets too heavy or dull. The author keeps it light, and he keeps things moving at a good pace. At a little over 300 pages, this novel doesn't have a chance to get boring or wear thin. I was finished with it in less than a week, because I just didn't want to set it down. I recommend it to anyone who doesn't take anything too seriously and likes to laugh.
