You'll Wish You Could Stay Home In Mitford By AmyBrantley on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I love a series that grabs hold of you and won't let go. This is exactly how The Mitford Series, written by Jan Karon, is. Once I read At Home in Mitford, I was hooked. But, why was At Home in Mitford so special? What made me want to go back for more?

At Home in Mitford tells the story of a rector living in a small town in Western North Carolina. To be quite honest, the rector has become bored with his everyday duties, not to mention lonely. But, that's all about to change. Soon the rector will have more than he thinks he can handle.

This book made me laugh, cry, and become attached to the characters in this beautiful series. I was left wanting more and couldn't wait to get my hands on the rest of the books in the series.

Whether you love romance, comedy, thrills, or books with a religious theme you'll love this series.

This sounds a lot like some BBC television series that I have watched. Have you seen Balleykissangel? Or maybe Victor of Dibley? (spelling could be wrong, sorry)
