Besides have a neice and nephew, I am also trying to going to school to become a teacher. Because of this, I like to read all books that are about helping kids, talking to kids, how to disipline them, and most of all how to talk to them without dimishing their self esteem.

In researching, I found a book call Your Child's Self Esteem by Dorothy Corkille Briggs. This book was origonally published in 1975 so it's a little old but in my opinion, time doen't change the way you treat children. What time does, is improve how to treat children and make them feel better.

For me and my needs, this book taught me a lot on how to talk to children without making them feel bad. It taught me how to treat a child whether your talking to them or disciplining them.

The book provides step-by step guidines for raising responsible, productive, happy children. Self image is a child's most important character. This book tells you HOW to do all of this.

I would recommend this to anyone, whether you are a parent, teacher, or grandparent.
