Your Hair On Tranquilizers
By Sparkle333 onI love almost all Redken hair care products. (I said almost all.) One I ended up with recently, was shockingly disappointing. Walgreens was having a sale of Redken's "True Calm-Chill Shampoo." It came in a beautiful aqua bottle that promised it would "awaken the scalp" and "calm and moisturize" the hair.
Well, sad to say, if it awakened my scalp, I missed it. But as far as calming my hair goes, that was no false claim. It was practically hypnotized into a stupor! (Sort of like hair on tranquilizers!) Well, you get the idea, I guess. My hair was limp and lifeless with absolutely no body or bounce.
Redken True Calm Chill Shampoo contains Chamomile (a great sleep aid), and other soothing ingredients and essential oils. Trouble is, it was so soothing, that my hair went into a coma!
Don't laugh, but about halfway through the bottle, I started using it to clean the tub. (It wasn't all that great at that either.)
(But my hair was definitely "truly calm" and it did "chill." (But comatose is not exactly what I had in mind!)

Really? You can actually feel your hair limpen and fail you? I know I am not crazy now, because I would swear that some shampoos and conditioners make my hair and scalp feel lazy. I thought it was just me. I think that these products are just exagerating most of the time, but on occasion My hair feels alive. I think your story is a good and funny one.
I hate when I buy things and they don't work. I am glad that you was able to find a different use for it.
Oh, you so had me rolling on this one! Cleaning the tub with tranquilizing shampoo!
Thanks for the giggle...and the heads up! I'll stay away from this one.
LOL Sparkle! This was too funny. I love Redkin but they have some losers in their line and this is one of them!!
