Zantac 150 Cool Mint By DealHippo on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I get heartburn fairly often, so I was pretty excited to try out a new acid-reducer. I bought the Zantac 150 because it was supposed to relieve heartburn for 24 hours if you take it an hour before you eat. Pepperoni pizza always gives me heartburn, so before eating it last time, I took one of the Zantac 150 Cool Mint tablets. The tablets are advertized to leave a cooling feeling in your mouth, which they did, but I found it kind of strange since I did not have heartburn at that time. After waiting an hour, I ate the pizza and did not experience heartburn. Later that day, I ate another slice, but did get heartburn that time, so it did not last the promised 24 hours. For the price, $6 for 8 pills, I think I would rather stick with Tums or Rolaids and deal with a few minutes of heartburn. I suppose if you get really bad heartburn these might be worth the money, but for the average person, I'd say skip it.
