Zone Of The Enders: The Second Runner By Shawn on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

From the genius mind of Hideo Kojima, father of the Metal Gear series, Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner is a title that was released for the PlayStation 2 but was sadly caught up in the mix in between Metal Gear Solid games. Nevertheless, the title was known for its fast-paced, intelligent and action oriented story. It's clear that the game came from the mind of Hideo Kojima due to its semblance to Metal Gear Solid.

Rather than sneaking around and picking your fights you'll be openly engaging enemies within your “Orbital Frame”, which is what the game basically refers to with the giant mecha. While you'll be able to progress through most of the game with the same rudimentary combinations there's actually a wide variety of maneuvers that can be achieved through button combinations, both up close and far away to go along with the bevy of weapons you'll be assimilating, Mega Man-style.

Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner is an enjoyable experience, albeit a bit short. For such a short game from Konami it has the usual in the form of mini games and unlockables, but still feels a bit lacking in the replay value department.
