I recently started shopping for power tools to use for wood working projects such as bird houses. I have been working with tools for a number of years so felt like I was somewhat knowledgeable about what I needed. I mainly was looking for a new circular saw. The one I had was an old 7-1/4 inch circular saw that weighed a small ton. The tools I chose were a Ryobi Combo Ki...
This Ryobi trimmer was just the one I was looking for. My previous trimmer died in the hands of my neighbor when trying to fix something in it. The Ryobi expand-it trimmer was just the perfect substitute for my old and heavy trimmer. More powerful than my old one and very lightweight. At 13 pounds is just very easy to use it for longer periods. This was a great relief for me and my back becau...
My wife and I have given this Ryobi Cordless Drill a workout over the last few years with many remodeling jobs, and it is still going strong. We bought it at Home Depot for around $90. The drill came with 2 battery packs, a 1-hr. charger, 2 screwdriver bits and a plastic carrying case. This is a very heavy-duty piece of equipment and is not a lightweight. I am a big guy and do...
I got my husband the Ryobi One+ 18V Lithium 4 Piece Combo Kit from Home Depot for Christmas and he absolutely could not be happier with these tools! They come in a great carrying case, which I love because that means they aren't strewn all over the garage or basement, wherever he's working. The battery is easily interchangable and provides amazing power in these tools. ...
This is another great tool from the Ryobi One + 18V family. This is in my opinion a great line of tools, where you do not have to pay for a battery and charger each time you buy a tool. With one + you buy everything separate. I purchased a contractor type set with a sawzall, circular saw, drill, orb sander, dust buster, and radio for about $150. How can you beat that price?!?
Ok this rev...
Maybe i was spoiled, growing up with a grease monkey who had a DeWalt cordless drill at the ready, any time we needed to use it. But, this is just a waste of energy and time. I'm not sure what was paid for it, but it wasn't cheap enough!Firstly, the thing does not have the ability to go cordless, so you're unable to do as much with your project, having this cord in the w...
RYOBI 5PC 18v COMBO KITLowes - $109.99At time of purchase. In a world as yet un aware of the "Lithium is power tool" explosion about to unfold, I purchased (for me) one of those "easy reader" types of start-up kit, to help kick start a tool collection replacement effort.Early winter 07' found me on a blood scent (that means I actually knew what I was coming in there...
