I have a young artist at home - my daughter. I have bought her art supplies and I do not get tired of doing it because I can see a raw talent waiting to be tapped.

She loves to draw and sketch cartoon characters, especially the Japanese characters. Although her drawing is still very amateurish and needs a lot of polishing. For her young age of 11, I can say that she is doing well in the arts and crafts field. Her small hands are very adept. 

One of her arts and crafts supplies is this Staedtler Mars Lumograph used for sketching and drawing. I did not know about it until she told me. I thought, one would only use a pencil in sketching and that would be it. Little did I know that there are various types of pencils used to be able to put more drama in one's sketches and drawing.

Her Staedtler Mars Lumograph pencils come in a tin case with 6 pencils inside. These pencils have soft leads and various grades to generate different effects, contrasts and effective shading. The pencils come in 5-8B variants and HB. This product is made in Germany.
