Frango chocolates are distributed only by Macy's, so you know from the get-go that they aren't going to be a bargain. The regular chocolate mints are available all year long, but the Candy Cane mints are available only during the winter holiday season: they make their first appearance on Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) and disappear by shortly after New Year's Day. I found them on sale, $12.99 for a one pound box, at Macy's on Black Friday this year.
Frango Mints are a treat even for chocolate connoisseur. I love peppermint, and bits of peppermint in fine chocolate are a sure way to please me. The Candy Cane mints by Frango are milk chocolate; I don't know the percentage of cocoa solids they contain, but I would guess about 25% or slightly higher. Four pieces contain 210 calories, and 120 of them are fat, so these can be a diet breaker. But at this time of year, must we count every calorie?
The smooth rich chocolate spiked with the icy blast of peppermint is a wonderful holiday treat. Buy a box for the chocolate lover on your gift list, or treat yourself. Like Christmas, Frango Candy Cane Mints only come once a year, after all. I gave it slightly under a 5 because of the price; but tastewise, they're a solid 10!

Yum! Such a great description that you made me hungry for them!
What a special treat. I'm sure I'd only go for them at holidays, but it's always nice to know what special things are out there to wish for!
Sounds great. You have sure made me want some. Thanks for sharing this information.
