I like to talk to my family on the telephone on a regular basis. My nearest relative lives around 300 miles away, so this is the only way I can really keep in touch.
I finally grew tired of my mother complaining about not being able to hear me when I would call on my cell, so I decided it was time to find a long distance plan that was affordable.
I have my home phone service as well as my DSL and satellite television through Embarq, so I called to inquire about plans and rates for long distance. I was thrilled to hear that for a flat rate I could make as many long distance calls as I like each month.
I pay $15 per month and I have unlimited long distance to anywhere in the United states. This is perfect for me as I call friends and family in LA, Seattle and West Palm Beach, to name a few weekly.
I love that now I am not paying At&T for going over my minutes on my cell, my mother can hear me, and I can chat for as long as I want without worrying about a huge phone bill. If you have Embarq in your areaI would recommend that you take advantage of their long distance plans. I have been very satisfied with my service!
