NFZ Puffer for Cats and Dogs

My cat had a bad case of pinkeye. After trying one useless over-the-counter human eye irritation remedy, my husband went and bought a bottle of NFZ Puffer, formulated to treat eye and ear infections in cats and dogs. It can also be used for cuts and surface wounds.

The yellowish powdered substance is to be applied directly into the eye, once a day. On the first day, I saw no difference. Then there was some minor improvement: the cat's eye stopped oozing junk and dried up, but the swelling in the eyelids did not go down. Slow, gradual improvement continued for well over a week until the problem was gone. NFZ Puffer is no instant cure, but it does work.

The product is manufactured by Hess & Clark, Inc. It contains 0.2% Nitrofurazone; some people can be hypersensitive to it, so the product needs to be used with caution. It is recommended to wear gloves when applying it or wash hands afterwards.
