I have three dogs, and that means a lot of treats. Treats for training, treats for rewards, and treats to hide pills in -- I use them all. And I buy them treats because I love them. The problem is that most dog treats don't come in packaging that is good for storing them.
Perusing housewares in Kohl's one day, I came across the SnapWare Pet Treat Jar. It is clear, with a red top, and a paw print pattern in bright primary colors. It holds about a half-gallon of treats. The snap lid has an o-ring in it, ensuring that the contents will be kept fresh for a long time. It's also top-shelf dishwasher-safe, although I hand wash it because my dishwasher is small.
One of my friends saw it in my kitchen, and wanted one like it. She'd been looking for an affordable, unbreakable, lightweight treat jar for her pets for a long time; she'd found some cute jars, but they were ceramic, heavy, breakable, and expensive. I went back to Kohl's and bought one like mine for her dog for his first brirthday, and filled it with treats that were just right for him.
I love this treat jar, and give it a solid 5 stars. If you find it, and you have pets -- grab it. They'll thank you for it.
