We got my daughter the Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Musical Learning Chair for her first birthday.  It was perfect as she was starting to stand up and move around. 

This chair is lightweight and easy to move from room to room.  It is the perfect height for children to learn to climb up and sit on their own.  The many songs and noises keep little ones interested and make it fun to explore.  There is a learning mode and music mode on the chair.  The music mode plays fun songs for your child to learn and enjoy.  The learning mode teaches the alphabet, numbers, colors, and words.

My only concern with the chair is that it does not seem to be sturdy/balanced enough.  Because of this, I placed it up against a wall in an effort to avoid it tipping over.  She has never tipped in it, but it is still a worry of mine and we have avoided it thus far.  Otherwise, I think it is a fun toy that will get hours of use from a toddler.
