We have many recreational games in the day program that I work at. Jarts actually is a really very old game but it is very easy to play and tons of fun. Bare in mind the program I work for is one for adults so the pointy end of the Jarts is not as big a risk as if it was a child's day program.

For about twenty dollars I think they are a pretty good buy as well for all the fun that I have seen our clients and others derive from playing it. Jarts is actually a game that is almost another form of horse shoes to tell you the truth. You throw the Jarts into a circle that you put outside on your lawn.

I also have a very old set of Jarts at home as well that my family has used on and off over the years. The new sets of Jarts that they sell now have safer tips on them but they really do not stick into the ground the way these older sets do. I prefer the older sets. You can always purchase an older set on ebay or else where if you really give it a good search. I have actually found them at yard sales in the past.
