 The Boston Children's Museum is a fantastic spot to bring your family if you are traveling to Boston. It just recently reopened after a renovation. We went last month and for our family of five (2 adults, 3 children) it was about $45 for us to get in. There was a parking garage around the corner that offered a $9 rate on the weekend with a validated ticket from the museum so that works out very well.Our kids range from age 5 to 10 and all enjoyed the museum. There is something there for all the different ages. There are 3 floors and different themed areas and rooms. In the lobby area is a new climbing structure that spans the entire 3 floors. Kids can crawl through on these sort of suspended mats. Parents can walk along side on the staircase and keep an eye on their kids. Two of my three went in this and found it really crowded and a little claustrophobic.  Perhaps at a less crowded time it would have been more fun.

Some of the exhibits include a bubble room, a room where you can race golf balls through different courses, an air room, music, ethnic marketplace, Japanese house and an Arthur (yes the aardvark) section.

We saw everything and spent about 2.5 hours at the museum. Outside there are many spots to sit on the waterfront and enjoy a snack or picnic lunch. There are also a few close places to purchase lunch or a snack.

The Boston Children's Museum is worth the trip. A great, interactive hands on museum that kids will love!
